Wise Her Still: Wisdom For Women : Clothing

I was one of those women who just did too much to look beautiful. I covered my head with long weaves, buried my face under tons of makeup, disguised my eyes with colored contact lenses, and I adorned my body with colorful garments. That's because the world told me that I needed to do these things to be beautiful. I couldn't grasp the idea of even going to the store without my "extras". I was wearing a costume, and I often wondered why I kept attracting a certain "type" of man to myself. I didn't realize that if you dress like a bear, you'll attract a bear.

Then, one day, GOD began to change my mind. HE taught me that it's okay to look beautiful, but FIRST, you must define truthfully what beautiful is as opposed to being redefined by your misunderstanding of what beauty is. Some women don't think they're beautiful outside of their costumes, but GOD told me that the beauty of holiness is the beauty that attracts HIS favor, and once you wear HIS favor, your GOD-appointed husband will find you with ease.
